Holistic Approach Types
When we talk about psychotherapy, we are talking about an umbrella term that can refer to various types of treatments. The term “holistic therapist” is often used to describe professionals who provide this type of treatment, but they may also refer to their practice as:
Eclectic or integrative Therapy
This therapeutic approach draws on various traditions and techniques to best meet the client’s needs.
Mind-body Therapy
It refers to techniques geared towards improving body functioning and inducing relaxation to improve health.
Somatic Therapy
A body-centered approach employs strategies such as breathwork, dance, and meditation to help people heal from trauma, stress, and other mental illnesses.
Spiritual Therapy
It is a method of exploring problems that a person is experiencing in their life that takes into account their religious beliefs and spiritual faith.
